Atopic dermatitis, the most common type of eczema, is a chronic disease that causes skin inflammation, redness, and irritation. This skin condition is a result of an overactive immune system that causes the skin barrier to become dry and itchy.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the study drug, GSK1070806. Researchers want to find the best dose (amount) of study drug that can safely help adults with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis.
Your commitment to this study will be a key element in helping researchers find potential treatment options for atopic dermatitis.
If you sign the informed consent form, the study doctor and team will review your medical history. They will also run some tests and ask questions to learn more about your atopic dermatitis. Based on the results, they will determine if the study is right for you.
If the study is right for you, you will come to the study site for study treatment, tests, and health checks. You will receive two study treatment injections.
After you complete the study treatment, you will have 3 more visits with the study doctor and team. They will continue to check your health and your atopic dermatitis.
