Dr. Farzad Hariri is a board certified general and laparoscopic surgeon whose special interest is in advanced minimally invasive colorectal and other abdominal surgeries. He graduated from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran in 1994 and practiced medicine as a GP for years before immigrating to Canada. He was accepted in the general surgery program of University of Toronto in 2006, and graduated from that program in 2011. He achieved the board certification from Royal College of physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2011.

In his first year of practice in Etobicoke general hospital, he completed a fellowship training under Dr Mohammad Bahasadri, focusing on advanced colorectal and abdominal wall hernia operations.

Currently his practice involves acute care surgery in Rouge Valley Health Center as well as Grand River Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo area.

He also performs Endoscopy (colonoscopy and gastroscopy), and peri-anal surgeries (including hemorrhoids and anal fissures) at RUDD clinic located in downtown Toronto.

He joined Richmond Hill Medical and Surgical center in 2014 as a member of board of directors.
