This study is to evaluate an investigational novel biologic for its effectiveness in treating chronic hand and foot eczema.

What happens during the study?

The trial lasts about 28 weeks (not including screening), and involves about 7 visits to the clinic in Barrie.

Participants have a 50% chance to receive the active study drug, or the placebo.

There are three stages to the trial:

Screening

Study coordinators meet with all applicants to determine eligibility and health exams.

This will give the researchers a baseline and helps ensure the safety of participants

Treatment

16 Weeks

Participants will receive either the active study drug or the placebo, and attend clinic visits roughly once every two weeks for medical examination.

Doctors will mark the progress of eczema symptoms for the study.

Follow-Up

12 Weeks

One final visit to the clinic for closing medical examination.

Do I qualify?

Participants must meet the criteria to be enrolled in the study.
There are additional criteria that apply.

You may qualify if you:

  • are 12 years of age or older at the time of screening.
  • have had a diagnosis of chronic hand or foot eczema for at least one
    year.
  • have eczema on at least two hands, two feet, or one foot and one hand.
  • do not have any other conditions on your hands or feet that could affect 
the study results. 


There is no cost to participate – and there may be compensation for study related expenses.
