Do I qualify?

You may qualify to participate if you:

  • are 18 years to 75 years of age.
  • have a diagnosis of HS for at least 12 months.
  • have HS lesions in at least 2 distinct anatomical regions.
  • had an inadequate response or intolerance to a 28-day course of oral antibiotics.
  • have a total abscess and inflammatory nodule count greater than or equal to 5.

Time and travel compensation is available to eligible participants.

What happens during the study?

The study lasts up to 67 weeks (about 16 months) and has four parts. 

Screening

You’ll have tests and health checks to see if you are eligible for the study. Our research staff will discuss informed consent with you as well.

If you are eligible and provide signed consent, you’ll start the study treatment period within five weeks.

Treatment Period 1

You’ll receive the active study drug or placebo and have health checks and tests.

Treatment Period 2

You’ll receive the active study drug (no placebo) and have health checks and tests.

Follow-up Period

After you stop taking the study drug, you’ll have a few more clinic visits. Doctors will check on your health and see how your symptoms respond to cessation of the study drug.
